Professional Activities:
David Hill is an associate in the Grand Rapids office. Mr. Hill's practice primarily includes representation of individuals and businesses in their real estate, finance and corporate needs. Mr. Hill is also designated as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council.
- Represents sellers and buyers in residential and commercial real estate transactions employing conventional and land contract financing, including contract negotiations, drafting purchase agreements, title resolution, and preparation of closing documents.
- Represents lenders to facilitate debt workouts and evaluate, restructure, and liquidate collateral positions.
- Represents small and mid-sized companies in formation and management of ongoing operations, including drafting shareholder agreements, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and sale and purchase contracts.
- Advises nonprofit and charitable organizations in their formation, board management, membership tax matters, and ongoing operations.
- Represents regional and national real estate finance companies in loan documentation as well as residential and commercial defaults.
- Advises creditors in secured and unsecured collection of debts.
- Advises landlords and tenants in residential and commercial lease matters including evictions, negotiating and drafting leases, and property disputes.
- Appeals residential and commercial tax assessments for developers, brokers, and individuals on properties throughout western Michigan.
