- Experienced in connection with banking and workout includes receivership appointment and representation, state and federal tax liens, mortgage and lien foreclosure, fraud investigation, recovery and sale of assets.
- Successfully represented banks in connection with complex workout mattes including a borrower who fraudulently obtained in excess of $100,000,000 from various creditors and the United States Dept. of Treasury.
Mr. Gates spent approximately 12 years in the United States Army Reserves prior to graduating from law school. During this time, he was a communications specialist attached to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as well as a legal specialist attached to a Judge Advocate’s (JAG) office. Mr. Gates’ background and experience have made him a creative problem solver and skilled advocate as an attorney.
Mr. Gates has been actively involved in his community, including serving on various boards for and/or representing various non-profits. He has been a regular speaker and presenter on topics within his area of expertise.
