Ms. Hartman is an associate in the Kalamazoo office. Ms. Hartman's practice is focused primarily on business transactions and health care law. She also has experience in bankruptcy and family law. Ms. Hartman participated in the Thomas M. Cooley Public Law Sector Clinic where she worked with the Kent County Corporation Counsel to initiate a Headlee Amendment challenge to the Children's Right's Settlement Agreement signed into law by Governor Granholm. Ms. Hartman also worked with the Kent County Bureau of Equalization to launch the first ever study into the efficacy of the current Property Tax Appeal system within Kent County and the feasibility of implementing a county-wide electronic appeals process. Ms. Hartman graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. She was the State Bar of Michigan, Business Law Section Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker: Michigan Corporate Income Tax Legislation and Implications for Michigan C-Corporations.
