Lance to Be Honored for Elder Abuse Prevention Efforts

Battle Creek, Michigan – Kreis Enderle attorney Jim Lance will be honored at the First Annual Prevention Hero’s Award Ceremony by the Calhoun County Elder Abuse Prevention Coalition. The award ceremony is in recognition for Lance’s efforts to find remedies to prevent financial exploitation of elder abuse victims in Calhoun County.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 23, at 4:30 on the 16th floor of the McCamly Plaza Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan. There will be an honoree reception followed by a keynote address from Dr. Thomas B. Jankowski, associate director for research at Wayne State University. The evening will conclude with the awards ceremony.

Lance graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and psychology before earning his Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University Detroit College of Law. He has authored appellate briefs for Michigan Supreme Court cases and, in 2008, was awarded the Distinguished Brief Award by Thomas M. Cooley. In 2013, Lance was a featured presenter at the Summer Conference for the Michigan Community Action Agency Association on the topic of avoiding legal pitfalls for non-profit directors.
