Ray Schultz is a veteran litigator whose aggressive and efficient representation is the key to his clients’ success. He has handled thousands of collection matters for commercial businesses, banks, and credit unions during his 30+ year career.

After decades of uncompromising dedication to successfully handling accounts receivable, often valued into the millions of dollars, Ray has pretty much experienced it all and heard every excuse imaginable. Yet, he still succeeds where others have failed. Personally responsive and committed to understanding his clients’ needs and commercial objectives, Ray is punctual, professional, and, most importantly, hard-hitting when the situation calls for it.

Courteous, fair, and firm, Ray values his clients’ time and is conservative with their resources. He appreciates the personal relationships he has cultivated over many years of practice and is dedicated to addressing the issues at hand and answering client questions promptly and clearly.

Ray leaves no stone unturned when it comes to his clients’ financial recoveries and overall monetary health. As the saying goes, “getting the judgment is easy; collecting the judgment is the hard part.” Simply put, Ray and his collections team put their clients in the best possible positions to succeed.

Ray is passionate about giving back to the community in which he lives and works. He has been active in the United Way of Ottawa County, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Legal Aid of Kent County. He spends his free time with his family and enjoys boating, deer and pheasant hunting, fishing, and attending Michigan State University football and basketball games.
