Michigan Lawyers Weekly Names Daniel J. Visscher to the 2022 Class of “Unsung Legal Heroes”
We are proud to announce that Kreis Enderle’s Assistant Controller and HR Manager Daniel J. Visscher is among this year’s recipients of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Unsung Legal Heroes” award.
According to Michigan Lawyers Weekly, Unsung Legal Heroes are law firm employees who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty, often behind the scenes. The honor is reserved for the state’s most talented and dedicated legal support professionals.
Dan began working at Kreis Enderle as a courier at age 18 while attending Western Michigan University (WMU). He later became the firm’s accounts payable assistant. After graduating from WMU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance), Dan was promoted to accounts payable and payroll manager. Dan was named assistant controller a few years later, and since January 2020, he has been the firm’s assistant controller and HR manager.
Dan is one of only two individuals in Michigan to hold the title of “Certified Legal Manager” (CLM). The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) awards the CLM credential to persons who successfully complete a rigorous certification process and demonstrate a “mastery of the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities of a professional legal manager.”
In addition to his work at Kreis Enderle, Dan is nationally active in the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). He is also a member of the board of directors of the Association of Legal Administrators, West Michigan Chapter, where he currently serves as secretary.
“Dan’s impact at Kreis Enderle has been extraordinary,” said Kay Kossen, Kreis Enderle’s managing partner. “He has done so much for us, from reorganizing our workflow structures and revising the firm’s recruitment efforts to implementing new automation tools and accounting systems. We owe so much of our success to him and are lucky to have him as part of our team here at Kreis Enderle.”
We are delighted that Dan has been honored with this well-deserved recognition. Please join us in congratulating him!
