An associate in our Battle Creek office, Kayla Thompson devotes her practice to estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law, helping clients navigate complex and emotional legal matters.
Kayla completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan, where she was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, held leadership roles in Rotary International’s Rotaract program, and interned with an investment firm and the public policy group of a leading law firm in Washington, D.C. She went on to pursue her Juris Doctor at Wayne State University Law School, where she served on the Student Board of Governors, participated in Moot Court, and served as a student attorney on Wayne’s Criminal Appellate Clinic.
Throughout her law school career, Kayla supplemented her studies as a paralegal with a boutique securities litigation firm and as an investment associate with a wealth advisory firm. After law school, Kayla utilized her law degree as a consultant in the financial planning industry where she assisted clients with their estate and financial goals. Her exposure to estate planning, asset protection, and wealth management has made her a valuable part of Kreis Enderle’s practice.
Outside of the office, Kayla is an active member of both the Rotary Club of Battle Creek and Ignite BC, organizations that promote leadership and philanthropic skills, two areas which she is especially passionate.
