Nancy Hillary has decades of experience advising clients on various transactional matters. For the last several years, she has focused her practice on estate planning and is relentless in her goal of helping clients protect their assets, minimize their tax burdens, and care for their loved ones.

Nancy is valued by clients and colleagues alike for her dedication to working in a personalized and detailed manner. She strives to achieve the right results for individuals and families, whether their estates are modest or in the millions. Her lengthy history in research and writing translates to meticulous attention to detail in drafting estate plans, succession plans, and other transactional documents.

Above all, Nancy is appreciated for her accessibility, responsiveness, discretion, and pragmatic solutions. She is passionate about getting to know her clients personally and working closely with them to create the best plans for their individual circumstances. Not surprisingly, she receives many referrals from former satisfied clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Nancy was an estate planning attorney in two private practices, including Hillary & Blease Law Offices and Hillary Law Offices. Nancy is also an effective educator and speaker and served as an adjunct professor at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she taught motion/brief writing and oral advocacy skills. She started her legal career while still in college, working as a managing editor and later a legal editor for a state and national magazine on workers’ compensation law. She also previously served as a research attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals and an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan.
