Nick Spigiel has successfully represented clients at all stages of litigation and dispute resolution, including trying cases to verdict and in mediation and arbitration proceedings. A shrewd negotiator and formidable advocate who is battle-ready if litigation and trial are the optimal paths to the right result, Nick is valued for providing an accurate assessment of his client’s position and chances for success.

With particular skill in resolving litigation pertaining to easements and riparian and water flow rights, Nick has defended and prosecuted cases involving water issues over farmlands and lake access claims. He defends clients in all areas of business litigation, ranging from contract and shareholder disputes to collection cases. In addition, Nick has represented both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy court proceedings.

Appreciated for taking on difficult litigation and realizing the best possible results inside and outside the firm, Nick’s defenses and tough-but-fair approach to problem-solving add value to his client’s position when it comes to advocacy. He is a direct communicator who streamlines the facts and most important issues of a case into persuasive talking points that make sense to everyone involved. Notably, Nick is reasonable without ever short-changing what his client needs to succeed.
