A good attorney knows the law. A great attorney translates that knowledge for his clients effectively. Jason ter Avest brings nearly a decade of private practice experience to Kreis Enderle’s Battle Creek office. With that experience, Jason understands that his clients may be interacting with the law for the first time, and he makes sure they understand every step of the process.

Rather than prescribe a one-size fits all legal approach, Jason listens to identify each client’s needs and works with them to reach their own specific goals. Whether helping create comprehensive estate plans or assisting with probate and trust administration, Jason’s meticulous preparation and attention to detail advance his clients to where they want to be.

Jason applies the same dedication and preparation to his non-probate clients, particularly in areas of business, municipal and real estate law. His greatest satisfaction is knowing his clients have been well cared for and he has met their legal objectives.

Jason earned his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2013 and was named the Presidential Scholar for Finance and Commercial Law while earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University in 2009.

Jason has also earned a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
