Kay Kossen Speaks to Emerging Women Leaders at the Olivet College Women’s Leadership Institute
On November 13, 2019, Olivet College welcomed Kreis Enderle shareholder Kay Kossen as a featured speaker at its Women’s Leadership Institute. The event was part of a yearlong program – “Emerging Leaders, Empowering My Voice” – in which a select group of women students receive leadership training to prepare them to excel in higher education and beyond.
The WLI curriculum incorporates the ATHENA Leadership model, focusing on eight core principles that inspire participants to reach their full potential:
- Live Authentically
- Learn Constantly
- Build Relationships
- Foster Collaboration
- Advocate Fiercely
- Act Courageously
- Give Back
- Celebrate
Kay, the managing shareholder of Kreis Enderle’s Battle Creek office, has served on the WLI Advisory Council for three years. Along with Jennifer Harty of Edward Jones and Jamilia Johnson, the Women’s Institute coordinator, she led a session devoted to “Advocating Fiercely.”
Olivet’s Women’s Leadership Institute is the only continuum of its kind in the U.S., a model that inspires girls and women from middle school through college.
