For nearly 40 years as a legal assistant with Kreis Enderle, Carol Burke has demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and compassion. Her decision to retire is bittersweet, as we are saddened at the departure of such a wonderful colleague but eager to wish her well in the next chapter of her life.
“She has been part of establishing and living our firm’s culture and service model over the years,” said shareholder Jim Boerigter, with whom Carol closely worked. “Everyone knows who she is and the value she has brought.” Known for her great instincts and insights, many called Carol one of Michigan’s “top five family lawyers.” “She understands the area of family law so well that people often think she’s one of the attorneys. It’s a great testament to her skills and dedication,” Jim added.
Over her four decades with the firm, Carol has not only seen significant growth, she helped fuel it by fostering meaningful connections with colleagues and clients.
“Carol approached her work from the perspective of having to care for two big sets of relationships. Her relationships with people at the firm were important to her, but she made it a priority to deliver exceptional service to our clients, too,” praised associate Charley Bogren, with whom Carol also worked. “Attorneys and clients alike will miss seeing and talking to her every day. She’s just a really good, all-around person.”
Family, friends, and co-workers recently celebrated Carol at a special dinner, sharing memories and reminiscences of her history with Kreis Enderle and showing our gratitude. We wish Carol and her husband Kevin the best in their many years to come.
