Alissa has over a decade of experience in family law, where she has consistently demonstrated determined advocacy and substantive knowledge. Complemented by her natural empathy and compassion, she ensures each client fully understands the legal process and what to expect, helping them define their goals and set a realistic, prudent course to achieve them. Her patient and respectful communication style helped establish her reputation as an effective attorney and a trusted advisor.

Before embarking on her legal career, Alissa worked in social services in Allegan, Michigan, assisting individuals and families struggling with homelessness and related socio-economic challenges. This experience shaped her understanding of the critical difference that resources, information, and support can make in the lives of those enduring trauma.
